At a waterfall near Minca in the Colombian Sierra Nevada, the rising tourism led to a waste problem. Remains of food, bottles and cans rallied behind several trees. Therefore, it was decided by our company to build a trash can. The action was carried out in cooperation with Circulo Verde, the local organization for charitable purposes. A new trash can was made from a used oil drum and placed right next to the last crossroad on the way to the source.
Maintenance
The regular elimination of accumulated waste is done by a local resident. Reusable trash such as PET, glass or metal cans are being recycled.
